Great Big Feet are a flexible crew, able to choose a set to suit your mood. Whether it's the full quintet with sax and bass you're after, or the more intimate but just as lively trio, the boys have got you covered.

So if you're looking for a swinging band to get people jiving, or just a quality set of hand-picked songs to brighten the atmosphere, Great Big Feet are just the ticket.

CREOLE MOON

Acoustic, Full Band, Soul, Motown

Creole Moon came together in 2014 after the four musicians had met playing gigs around the London circuit. They wanted to share their passion for soul, funk and bluesy R&B originally recorded by artists on the Stax, Atlantic, Motown and Hi Record labels.

Trawling their record collections and musical knowledge they sought the very best of the genre for their live set. Whilst not wanting to cover the usual material played by many other bands, they always keep some old favourites in their set.

Jaqueline Sampson (Lead Singer):

Jacqueline is a talented and seasoned performer who has had the rare privilege of supporting classic soul artistes such as The Temptations, Jimmy Ruffin, Martha Reeves, Rufus Thomas, Wilson Pickett, Edwin Starr, and The Three Degrees.

She has done live television performances for MTV (Europe) ‘Funked Up UK’, BBC1 Live ‘London Marathon Show’ and ‘Twickenham World Finals Show’, GLR Live, BBC3 ‘Live at The Apollo’, Holland ‘Zwolle Fest’, Amsterdam ‘CTV Live’, BelView ‘The Bob Color Lokerse Feesten’ (Belgium), and MTV (Germany) ‘Muhle Hunziken’.

As well as headlining at The 12 Bar Club, West One Four, Sugar-House, Gassy Jack’s, and Pizza Express ‘Jazz Club on the Green’, Jacqueline has also done residencies at Mezzos (London), The Linden Tree (London), The Chesterfield (Moscow and Madrid), Estoril Casino (Portugal), and The Longstraat Festival (Belgium).

Lol Sanford (Guitar):

Lol was a founder member of Key Largo and recorded for legendary producer Mike Vernon on his Blue Horizon record label.

Since then he has played guitar with numerous bands and singers including John L Watson (featured on his White Hot, Blue Black album), Robert Lucas (Canned Heat), John O’ Leary (Savoy Brown) and Reuben Richards.

He has performed live at the Temple Bar Blues Festival, Dublin, the Castlebar Blues Festival and the Cork Opera House, Ireland, Colne R&B Festival, club residency in Munich, Dingwalls, 100 Club, Pizza Express Jazz Club. Radio 1 sessions for Andy Kershaw Show.

Alex Hermann - Bass:

Alex has been busy playing bass all around the UK and all over the world for several years, playing live, recording sessions, TV shows and touring. He has worked extensively with bands & artists such as The Empire State Band, Ray Davies (The Kinks), Glen Tilbrook (Squeeze), Ben Goddard (Million Dollar Quartet), Creole Moon and The A-Team Band.

Drummer Vinnie Reck:

Originally from Galway on Ireland’s west coast, moved to London in 1988 after many years touring, recording and session work around Ireland. Supporting many bigger bands on tour including Scullion and Simply Red and recording at Litton Lane Studios in Dublin.

After moving to London he began touring a lot on the then wonderful College and University circuits playing all original music and lots of recording of the same with various bands including The Brilliant Pebbles, Crazy Little Trees, Toucan (signed to 4ad) and later Little Big Mouth and Dukes Of Hang-gliding before recording and touring with Shane McGowan. Also backing David Gray and Mete Ege with his London Bluesion project and recently at Abbey Road Studios with Ole Ask.

Started working with Creole Moon about two years ago and is very happy and excited to be part of this wonderful band. “Soul, feel and groove are everything this band is about and I am so happy to be part of it”

EDDIE AND THE WILD DICE

Eddy Cottridge is a modern yet traditional blues musician. His Dad has been buying him harmonicas and playing him Blues records since he was in nappies so it was inevitable he would end up liking the music. After many years of playing guitar, harmonica and singing. Eddy found a love for that classic American swamp sound that was played by the old greats such as Slim Harpo, Jimmy Reed, John lee hooker (to name a few!). Through endless fiddling with gear and making his own amps and microphones he has a sound which can be considered unique at a time where everything has been done before!

Though the sound harks back to a time of duke joints and smokin' tube amps, his lyrics are fresh, contemporary and unmistakeably British!

Eddy is accompanied by a bass player and drummer for his band 'Eddy and the Wild Dice'. Where he provides vocals, Guitar and amplified harmonica through a home made harmonica harness/microphone. Despite being a trio it has a very 'full' sound and unlike a lot of blues trios. It's less about the ego of the front man and more about the rhythm and groove of the song, that will have you nodding your head and tapping your feet all night long!

Equipped with a portable amp, harmonicas, a beat up kay guitar, foot tambourine and his granddads old leather suitcase as a kick drum, he can be found playing his one man band in the pubs and streets of London. Email eddycottridge@gmail.com for one man band and duo gigs! Please visit www.eddyandthewilddice.com for full band gigs.
