SUNDAY 26TH FEBRUARY
EDDIE AND THE WILD DICE
Eddy Cottridge is a modern yet traditional blues musician. His Dad has been buying him harmonicas and playing him Blues records since he was in nappies so it was inevitable he would end up liking the music. After many years of playing guitar, harmonica and singing. Eddy found a love for that classic American swamp sound that was played by the old greats such as Slim Harpo, Jimmy Reed, John lee hooker (to name a few!). Through endless fiddling with gear and making his own amps and microphones he has a sound which can be considered unique at a time where everything has been done before!
Eddy is accompanied by a bass player and drummer for his band 'Eddy and the Wild Dice'. Where he provides vocals, Guitar and amplified harmonica through a home made harmonica harness/microphone. Despite being a trio it has a very 'full' sound and unlike a lot of blues trios. It's less about the ego of the front man and more about the rhythm and groove of the song, that will have you nodding your head and tapping your feet all night long!
Equipped with a portable amp, harmonicas, a beat up kay guitar, foot tambourine and his granddads old leather suitcase as a kick drum, he can be found playing his one man band in the pubs and streets of London. Email email@example.com for one man band and duo gigs! Please visit www.eddyandthewilddice.com for full band gigs.
